What is counselling?
Counselling is a way of using planned time with a trained professional in a confidential, non-judgemental, safe environment.
Appointments are arranged on a weekly basis for 1 hour.
It is an opportunity to talk and think about a wide range of feelings and issues both past and present.
How can counselling help you?
Helping you to improve your relationships and help you to realise your own answers to decide a way forward which is right for you.
Cognitive techniques to help change negative thoughts in to more positive, which empowers you to live your life better.
Relaxation techniques ,e.g breathing and body stress awareness to reduce anxiety.
Counselling gives you the opportunity to be actively listened to and deeply understood.
You may never have had the opportunity to be listened to especially when caring for other people.
Sometimes family and friends are too close and you may not be able to to tell them how you really feel.
Feeling really listened to in a confidential, non-judgemental counselling session helps to relieve stress and help you think more clearly about what you want.
